AB Esta obra ofrece un análisis de las prácticas de producción pictórica en el sitio Alero Tambo el Pangue 2, ubicado en el Valle del Elqui. La autora describe cómo esta producción se inserta en un ensamblaje social donde interactúan agentes humanos y componentes como pigmentos minerales y orgánicos, fuego, hollín, pátinas, movimientos, tiempo, ocupación y desuso; concibiendo así el sitio de arte rupestre como una instalación en constante construcción.Para ello, se integran diversas líneas de evidencia, destacando el uso de herramientas arqueométricas para el análisis microestratigráfico de los soportes, complementado con un exhaustivo estudio iconográfico y espacial de los motivos del sitio.
AB This volume offers an analysis of the practices involved in creating rock art at the Alero Tambo el Pangue 2 site in the Elqui Valley. The author describes how this production is embedded in a social assemblage where human agents interact with components such as mineral and organic pigments, fire, soot, patinas, movement, time, occupation, and disuse, thereby conceptualizing the rock art site as an installation in constant construction. To this end, diverse lines of evidence are integrated, notably the use of archaeometric tools for the micro-stratigraphic analysis of the rock surfaces, complemented by an exhaustive iconographic and spatial study of the site's motifs.
