This volume presents the result of the research financed by Roma Tre University as part of the Research Development Plan – “Azione 4” and conducted by professors of the Architecture, Engineering, Science, and Education Science Departments. The interdisciplinary exchange has led to the drafting of an operational protocol for the prevention and mitigation of environmental risks, applied to the Inner Areas of Latium Region, that includes two results addressed to two parties: for the Region, a possible funding procedure aimed at municipalities for the implementation of safety measures of their territories; for the city managers, a working methodology which combines interdisciplinary assessments and analyses at the various scales allowing to program in a targeted manner the natural and environmental risk prevention and mitigation on the basis of the priorities that have been identified. The disciplines of representation are entrusted with the task of identifying, evidencing, and integrating the various readings, as well as the objective of guiding the interventions on the territory and constructions with a view to safeguarding and development.
