AB En el marco de la Guerra Civil de El Salvador (1980 - 1992), el materialpropagandístico de las guerrillas se valió de la figura del niñocombatiente como pieza central para la consolidación del discursoy la identidad revolucionaria. Este artículo hace un análisis de laaparición de la imagen y la voz del niño combatiente en el materialaudiovisual que realizaron grupos guerrilleros de El Salvador enlos inicios del conflicto. Se propone revisar estas imágenes no solocomo una evidencia de la existencia del reclutamiento infantil, perocomo una estrategia visual militante, coherente al escenario políticoy social del momento.
AB In the framework of the Civil War of El Salvador (1980 ¿ 1992), thepropaganda material of the guerrillas used the figure of the combatantchild as a structural piece for the consolidation of the revolutionary discourseand identity. This article analyzes the appearance of the imageand the voice of the child in the audiovisual material created by guerillasgroups in El Salvador, at the beginning of the conflict. It is proposedto review these images not only as evidence of the existence of child recruitment,but as a militant visual strategy, coherent with the politicaland social scenario of the time.
