AB El discurso de género aplicado a la Historia del Arte, el revisionismo de la disciplina desde una perspectiva feminista y la creciente pulsión investigadora hacia rescatar nombres, vidas y obras de mujeres artistas ha tenido, inevitable y gratamente, un impacto directo en la museología y la expografía del último tercio del siglo XX y, especialmente, del XXI. En los últimos años se han realizado, en el ámbito norteamericano, europeo y español una serie de muestras monográficas y colectivas vinculadas a mujeres artistas cuya producción se inserta en el marco de la Edad Moderna, de entre las cuales se analizarán algunos ejemplos con la intención de reflexionar acerca de sus fortalezas y debilidades museológicas.
AB The gender discourse applied to Art History, the revisionism of the discipline from a feminist perspective and the growing research drive to rescue the names, lives and works of women artists has had, inevitably and pleasantly, a direct impact on museology and exhibition design in the last third of the 20th century and, especially, in the 21st century. In recent years, a series of monographic and collective exhibitions related to women artists, whose production is situatedwithin the framework of the Modern Age, have been carried out in the North American, European, and Spanish contexts. Among these, some examples will be analyzed with the intention of reflecting on their musicological strengths and weaknesses.
