Ambos compartenun pasado y un destino común y sonreconocidos por su incuestionable valor patrimonial,si bien tienen connotaciones completamentedistintas. Si Doñana constituyeen el imaginario social el paradigma de naturalezavirgen, El Rocío es reconocido por susvalores sociales, culturales y simbólicos. LaMadre de las Marismas, punto central de losespacios protegidos de Doñana, es un lugarclave para entender la unicidad del patrimonio,pues sus valores físicos, naturales, históricos,sociales, culturales y simbólicos soninseparables, manifestándose en el complejomundo de sensaciones y emociones que despiertan.Y es que La Madre funda su identidady los valores que acumula en la hibridaciónde sus componentes, evidenciándose conclaridad que naturaleza y cultura son ámbitosinseparables.
