AB El presente trabajo realiza una aproximación ala violencia ejercida contra la mujer en la Sevilladel siglo XVII, tomando como base documental las escrituras notariales de perdón y apartamiento de querella conservadas en los protocolos del Archivo Histórico Provincial de Sevilla. En este sentido, haremos, en primer lugar, un recorrido historiográfico en el que se incluye a los principales autores que han utilizado este tipo de documentación para abordar temas como la violencia o conflictividad en el Antiguo Régimen; en segundo lugar, estudiamos el contexto histórico en el quevivían las mujeres desde la perspectiva del poderpolítico y de la literatura moralista; y, en tercerlugar, realizamos un estudio cuantitativo en el que se clasifican ciento cuarenta y ocho escrituras de perdón por delito y género.
AB This paper is an approach to violence against women in the Seville of the 17th century, on the basis of documented notarized pardons and grievances preserved in the protocols of the Provincial Historical Archive of Seville. In this context, we will first do a historiographic tour which includes the main authors who have used this type of documentation to address issues such as violence or conflict in Ancient Regime. Secondly, we will study the historical contextin which the women lived, from the perspectiveof political power and moral literature. Thirdly,we will perform a quantitative study in which onehundred and forty-eight writings of forgiveness are classified by crime and gender.
