AB Este trabajo presenta un corpus de papeles críticos y satíricos referentes a las fiestas públicas sevillanas del siglo XVIII relativas a la Monarquía. Ya sean manuscritos o impresos ofrecen el contrapunto a la versión oficial del evento contenida en las relaciones y otros papeles informativos. La mayoría de ellos forman parte de las polémicas de 1746 y 1789 que protagonizan las instituciones educativas y dan lugar a grandes hitos del periodismo satírico del XVIII sevillano, como relaciones burlescas o gacetas satíricas. Nuestro objetivo es esbozar las características de este tipo de textos polémicos y explicar los rasgos que nos llevan a afirmar su calidad como fuente histórica esencial para reconstruir la historia de la fiesta. Por último,desvelaremos los nombres de algunos autoresque se esconden tras esta producción satírica.
AB This paper presents a satiric and critical press corpus regarding public celebrations relating to the monarchy in Sevilla during the XVIII century. These papers and news pamphlets offer the counterpoint to the official version of the event contained in informational papers and other news pamphlets. Most of them are part of the controversies in the educational institutions between 1746 and 1789 and give rise to major milestones in satirical journalism of the 18th century in Seville, including satirical gazettesand burlesque news pamphlets. Our objective is to outline the characteristics of this type of controversial text, and to explain the features that make it an essential historical source in the reconstruction of the history of public celebrations. Finally, this paper reveals the names of some authors who hide behind this satirical production.
