AB La arquitectura histórica en madera se extiende a lo largo y ancho de Belice, la antigua colonia de Honduras británica y tiene una presencia habitual en el paisaje. El desarrollo de la misma explica la historia del país y a la evolución demográfica del mismo. Dicha arquitectura se convierte así, en un elemento con alto valor patrimonial que requiere una difusión y valoración cívica. Algo que ya ha sucedido con arquitecturas similares en algunos países del Caribe y en Centroamérica.
AB Reflections on the historic wooden architecture of Belize The historic wooden architecture extends across Belize, the former British colony of Honduras and it has a usual presence in the landscape. The development of it explains the history of the country and its demographic evolution. In this way, this architecture becomes an element with high heritage value that requires diffusion and civic appreciation. Something has already been achieved with similar architectures in some countries of the Caribbean and Central America.
