AB Con la promulgación del Real Decreto de 1777 y la fundación de la Comisión de Arquitectura en 1786, la Real Academia de San Fernando adquirió la facultad y los medios para examinar los proyectos constructivos del Reino e implantar los preceptos arquitectónicos academicistas a lo largo y ancho del mismo. No obstante, la introducción de las citadas reglas constructivas contó con importantes dificultades en algunos reinos como el de Sevilla, donde la permanencia de los modelos barrocos condicionó en gran medida la morfología de los edificios planteados hasta la segunda década del siglo XIX. Periodo ilustrado que, concretamente en la Arquitectura hispalense, se caracterizó por la heterogénea conjunción entre la permanencia del Barroco y la introducción parcial del academicismo.
AB With the promulgation of the Royal Decree of 1777 and the founding of the Architecture Commission in 1786, the Royal Academy of San Fernando acquired the faculty and the means to examine the construction projects of the Kingdom and to implement the academic architectural precepts throughout the length and breadth of the same. However, the introduction of the aforementioned construction rules had major difficulties in some kingdoms such as Seville, where the permanence of the baroque models greatly influenced the morphology of the buildings proposed until the second decade of the nineteenth century. Enlightenment period that, specifically in the architecture of Seville, was characterized by the heterogeneous conjunction between the permanence of the Baroque and the partial introduction of academicism.
