Los capítulos que lo componen, aunque diversos enobjeto y escala, comparten un presupuesto metodológico común: la comprensióndel arte como sistema de representación, como dispositivo activo en laconstrucción de imaginarios sociales, políticos y religiosos.
AB The book presented here belongs to a line of research that, far from limiting itself to stylistic description or the cataloging of heritage, proposes a structural reading of the artistic phenomenon in the Early Modern period and across the long-term trajectory of its subsequent developments. Although diverse in subject matter and scale, the chapters share a common methodological premise: understanding art as a system of representation—an active mechanism in the construction of social, political, and religious imaginaries.
