%X The subject of the article is the glassy material recovered near Villa del Casale’s medieval settlement in Piazza Armerina, recently investigated. Have been found some ancient buildings, recycled in the medieval context. At the same time, have been found several medieval wells from which comes a conspicuous quantity of glassy fragments: cruets, lamps, dishes and Islamic production bottles. ese fragments allow studying the use of the glass in this important center of Sicily
