AB Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa que teve por objetivo apresentar a criação e o trabalho da Coordenadoria de Diversidade Sexual e enfrentamento da violência de Gênero - CDGEN, como estratégia utilizada pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC no acolhimento à comunidade LGBTQIA+ e no combate à LGBTfobia e violência de gênero na instituição. A coleta de dados, desenvolvida de julho a agosto de 2021, foi realizada no site da CDGEN e ambiente virtual de ensino aprendizagem do Curso de formação Gênero e Diversidade no Ambiente Universitário realizado em 2019 e 2020. Os autores concluem que a criação da CDGEN e atividades desenvolvidas produziram resultados positivos no sentido de acolhimento e respeito às diferenças com uma mudança, ainda que homeopática, significativa na permanência de estudantes que fogem à cisheteronorma e mulheres vítimas de violência. Ao final recomendam a criação de um espaço institucional voltado para as questões de gênero e diversidade sexual nas Instituições de Ensino Superior no Brasil com vistas a um acolhimento pautado no respeito e tratamento digno às pessoas que fogem a norma cisheterossexual em sua trajetória formativa visando a permanência qualificada e o êxito acadêmico.
AB This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach that aimed to present the creation and work of the Coordination of Sexual Diversity and Coordination of Gender Violence - CDGEN, as a strategy used by the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC in welcoming the community LGBTQIA+ and in the fight against LGBTphobia and gender violence in the institution. Data collection, carried out from July to August 2021, was carried out on the CDGEN website and on the virtual teaching-learning environment of the Gender and Diversity in the University Environment training course held in 2019 and 2020. The authors conclude that the creation of CDGEN showed that the activities developed produced positive results in terms of acceptance and respect for differences, with a significant change, albeit homeopathic, in the permanence of students who escape the cisheteronorma and women who are victims of violence. In the end, they recommend the creation of an institutional space focused on gender and sexual diversity issues in Higher Education Institutions in Brazil, with a view to welcoming people who are not in compliance with the cisheterosexual norm in their formative trajectory, aiming at a qualified permanence. and academic success.
