AB A lo largo de los siglos XVII y XVIII tuvo lugar un interesante fenómeno protagonizado por los dos templos principales de la ciudad de Zaragoza, la Seo y el Pilar, y por sus respectivos cabildos, que acabaron siendo unificados en 1676. En las continuas disputas por conseguir la preeminencia, que finalmente obtuvo el Pilar, cada templo esgrimió sus principales argumentos y títulos, poniendo en marcha una serie de estrategias que también tuvieron su repercusión y se manifestaron en el ámbito artístico. En este trabajo se analizan algunos ejemplos de todo ello, que hemos agrupado en tres apartados: devociones, santos, milagros y reliquias; todos los caminos conducen a Roma; y la catedral como modelo o paradigma.
AB Throughout the 17th-18th centuries an interesting phenomenon took place, starring the two main temples of the city of Saragossa, the Seo and the Pilar, and their respective councils, which ended up being unified in 1676. In the conti- nuous disputes to achieve preeminence, which the Pillar finally obtained, each temple wielded its main arguments and titles, launching a series of strategies that also had an impact and were manifested in the artistic field. In this work some examples of all this are analyzed, which we have grouped into three sections: devotions, saints, miracles and relics; all roads lead to Rome; and the cathedral as a model or paradigm.
