%X Los territorios donde se han asentado grupos humanos y que han sidotransformados en ciudades, son un producto histórico, un conjuntode actividades políticas, identitarias, sociales e ideologías, donde seubica el patrimonio cultural material e inmaterial de dichas comunidades.Pero ¿qué sucede cuando alguna o varias de estas actividadeshumanas no cumplen con su objetivo dentro del espacio urbano?El territorio entra en desequilibrio y una de las consecuencias es lapérdida o el deterioro del patrimonio cultural. A partir de una seriede capacidades creativas es posible no sólo reforzar los símbolosidentitarios para evitar la fragmentación de los territorios, fortalecerel vínculo comunitario y generar procesos de cohesión social, sinotambién, al utilizarlas como herramientas de empoderamiento comunitario,ayuda a la preservación del patrimonio cultural en lascomunidades.
%X The territories where human groups have settled and which have beentransformed into cities are a historical product, a set of political, identity,social and ideological activities, where the material and intangiblecultural heritage of these communities is located. But, what happenswhen one or more of these human activities do not fulfill their purposewithin the urban space? The territory enters into an imbalance and oneof the consequences is the loss or damage of the cultural heritage. Froma series of creative capacities, it is possible not only to reinforce identitysymbols to avoid fragmentation of territories, to strengthen the communitybond and to generate social cohesion processes, but also, by usingthem as community empowerment tools, helps preservation of culturalheritage in communities.
