AB Una década después del Concilio de Trento, Carlos Borromeo publicó Instrucciones de la fábrica y del ajuar eclesiásticos, obra que daba las directrices para que la arquitectura sacra y la ornamentación de los paramentos litúrgicos se ajustaran al programa tridentino. Nuestro estudio partirá del Libro II, Instructionum Supellectilis Eclesiasticae, centrado en el ajuar de la Iglesia y abordaremos el caso siciliano. Revisaremos el trabajo realizado de las artistas sicilianas presentes en la publicación titulada Arti Decorative in Sicilia. Dizionario biografico.

NO A decade after the Council of Trent, Carlos Borromeo published Instructions for Ecclesiastical Buildings and Furnishing, a work that gave guidelines for sacred architecture and the ornamentation of liturgical paraments to conform to the Tridentine program. Our study will start from Book II, Instructionum Supellectilis Eclesiasticae, focused on the furnishing of the Church and we will address the Sicilian case.
