AB Desde el 2008 comenzamos un proyecto de registro y estudio de la gráficarupestre presente en el sitio arqueológico de Tepeapulco, tambiénconocido con el nombre de Xihuingo, así como el registro y comparacióncon motivos rupestres de la cultura Xajay en el sur y occidente del estadode Hidalgo, en el norte del Altiplano Central Mexicano. A partir de 2012tuvimos la oportunidad nuevamente de realizar prospección de superficiecon motivo de la construcción de la presa El Yathe donde se registraronmás de una cincuentena de sitios con gráfica rupestre. Este trabajo trataacerca de estas representaciones gráficas rupestres, sus semejanzas ydiferencias con otras representaciones gráficas del movimiento solar, asícomo su relación con las concepciones del espacio-tiempo calendáricoen la Mesoamérica prehispánica.
AB In the year 2008 we started a project of recording and study of rock art in thearchaeological site of Tepeapulco, also known by the name of Xihuingo, as wellas recording and comparison with the rupestre motifs of the Xajay culture in thesouth and west of the state of Hidalgo, in the North Central Mexican Plateau.Furthermore, in the year 2012 we had the opportunity again to perform surfacesurvey by reason of the construction of the dam El Yathe where more thanfifty sites with rock graph were recorded. This paper discusses these parietalgraphical representations, their similarities and differences with other graphicrepresentations of solar motion and its relation to the concepts of space-timecalendrical in prehispanic Mesoamerica.
