AB La Trata de Personas es un fenómeno conocido como la nueva esclavitud del siglo XXI. En España es una realidad invisible debido a la falta de datos y de investigaciones, que permitan conocer la magnitud de este acto delictivo. Además, en este país no existe un Plan Nacional contra la Trata, por lo que la implicación en la prevención y erradicación actual no es suficiente y las víctimas no cuentan con el apoyo y protección que deberían.Existen varios tipos de Trata siendo la más conocida, y protegida legalmente, la explotación sexual. En este caso, la investigación se ha centrado en la modalidad de explotación laboral, especialmente en menores. Estos niños/as y adolescentes se encuentran sometidos en situaciones de pobreza y exclusión, la cuales les obligan a entrar en el mercado laboral, en condiciones precarias, para su propio sustento y el de sus familias.
AB Human trafficking is a phenomenon known as the new 21st century slavery. In Spain it is an invisible reality due to the lack of information and investigations which are necessary to reveal the magnitude of the problem. In addition to this, there is no national plan to combat the human trafficking in this country, so the participation in the prevention and the current eradication is not enough. The victims can not count on the support and the protection they deserve.There are two types of human trafficking. The most known and the legally protected one is sexual exploitation. In this case, the investigation has focused on the modality of labour exploitation, especially on minors. Children and adolescents are subjected to poverty and situations which force them to get in the labour market under bad conditions in order to earn money for them and their families.
