AB Con la culminación de las obras de la catedral de Jaén se emprendieron diversos proyectos de amueblamiento que atrajeron a un buen número de escultores y retablistas. Unos y otros convirtieron al templo en un importante taller de referencia en el contexto del Barroco andaluz. En Jaén se dieron cita, de manera más o menos permanente, maestros como José Gallego, Francisco Calvo, José de Medina o Blas Moreno. A estos se sumaron otros con intervenciones más puntuales como Miguel Arias, Antonio Primo o Diego Briones y aquellos que enviaron trazas para sus retablos, como fue el caso de Pedro Duque Cornejo. En el presente estudio profundizamos sobre su labor al servicio de la catedral de Jaén, actualizamos  autorías  y  atribuciones,  al  tiempo  que  analizamos  las relaciones que establecieron entre ellos.
AB With the culmination of the building of Jaén Cathedral, a range of liturgical furnishing projects were undertaken, attracting a large number of sculptors and altarpiece makers. Between them, they turned the church into a significant and influential workshop in the context of the Andalusian Baroque. Masters such as José Gallego, Francisco Calvo, José de Medina and Blas Moreno came together in Jaén on a rather permanent basis. They were joined by others with more isolated contributions, such as Miguel Arias, Antonio Primo, and Diego Briones, and those who sent designs for their altarpieces, as in the case of Pedro Duque Cornejo. This study examines their work in the service of Jaén Cathedral in depth, updating authorship and attributions, while analysing the relationships they established with each other.
