Se valoran las obras de arte deAllan Jeffs desde una perspectiva estética y filosófica. Se destaca elcontexto excepcional donde se realizó la obra y los diversos rolesque asume el artista en el proceso creativo. El artista se comportacomo un theoros o embajador- espectador, un cartógrafo-paisajistay un científico.
%X This paper reflects on an installation in the Antarctic, the water landscapesand the drawings in Petri dishes by Allan Jeffs, Chilean artistthat lives in Ecuador. The art works of Allan Jeffs are appreciated froman aesthetic and philosophical point of view. The context in which thework was done and the diverse roles that the artist assumes during thecreative process are emphasized. The artist assumes the roles of the theorosor ambassador-spectator, the cartographer- landscape artist and thescientist.
