%X Este ensayo reconoce que la atención a las necesidades básicas de las personas no sólo recae en los trabajadores sociales, sino también en instituciones religiosas (concretamente en la Congregación de los Sagrados Corazones), que han desempeñado un papel crucial en este ámbito mucho antes de la existencia formal de la profesión. Se enfatiza la idea de que ambas entidades, aunque diferentes en sus métodos y recursos, se complementan entre sí.La colaboración entre el Trabajo Social y las instituciones religiosas  busca maximizar los beneficios y las prestaciones para aquellos en situación de riesgo, aprovechando la diversidad de recursos y enfoques disponibles para brindar la ayuda necesaria.
