Abstract

Santa Rosa de Agua, es un asentamiento no controlado ubicado en Maracaibo, presenta crecimiento en zonas de riesgos y humedales, pérdida de la cultura, patrimonio y memoria colectiva. Constituida por viviendas, calles, pasarelas, caños, cañadas y humedales; un área, exhibe viviendas palafíticas, representando la arquitectura vernácula del lugar. Santa Rosa de Agua is a human settlement located out of the urban planning in Maracaibo. It has been built over an unsteady land with wetlands, and risk of lost of culture, heritage and collective memory. It is made up by houses, streets, sewers, streams and wetlands. ¿The area show stilt houses wish represents the vernacular architecture of the place. It was designated historic-architectural heritage of the city in 1992. The research proposes to rescue and preserve the stilt- vernacular architecture as well as the identity and culture of añú ethnic.
