Aproximación a una Historia Crítica del Cine y el Audiovisual en Honduras

Abstract

En la historia de Honduras se han entremezclado un modo de representación institucional propio de la televisión, con el modo de representación institucional propio del cine, determinado esto no solo por la falta de rigor y debate teórico sobre el tema, sino también por la distorsión que ejerce la visión de la conducción política del país sobre los temas culturales; en tanto que el abandono del interés público del sector cinematográfico ha supuesto un claro subdesarrollo comparativo con el resto de la región centroamericana, estableciendo una preeminencia de la televisión sobre el conjunto del imaginario audiovisual.

In the history of Honduras, a mode of institutional representation typical of television has been intermingled with the mode of institutional representation typical of cinema, determined not only by the lack of rigor and theoretical debate on the subject, but also by the distortion that the vision of the political leadership of the country exerts on cultural issues, while the abandonment of the film sector by the public sector has led to a clear comparative underdevelopment with the rest of the Central American region, establishing a pre-eminence of television over the whole of the audiovisual imaginary.
