Abstract
En este texto se presenta un minucioso estudio
sobre las custodias procesionales de la provincia
de Córdoba durante los siglos del Barroco. Está
estructurado en varias partes bien diferenciadas
pero, a la vez, complementarias. En primer lugar
se comienza con una recopilación y síntesis sobre el estado de la cuestión bibliográfica y documental. Posteriormente, se muestra una clasificación tipológica y cronológica de las piezas conservadas de los siglos XVII y XVII, así como también se verán cuáles son sus principales características formales, compositivas y decorativas, de este tipo de
obras; acompañando de información documental
inédita, en algunos de los casos.
This paper presents a detailed study on the processional custody of Cordoba during the Baroque era. It is organized according to different yet complementary sections; first, we begin with a review and synthesis on the state of the bibliographical and documentary issue. Then, we provide a typological and chronological classification of the preserved pieces from the XVII and XVIII centuries, as well as an analysis of the main formal characteristics (compositional and decorative) of this type of work, in some cases, including unpublished documentary information.
