Territorios rupestres en América Latina

Abstract

Esta obra muestra nuevas investigaciones relevantes de las diversas manifestaciones rupestres en América Latina. Los trabajos están enfocados en el uso de los territorios como un hábitat delimitado por fronteras naturales y simbólicas, y como un medio para la fuente de recursos, además de su vinculación con la memoria colectiva. Los análisis, tanto estilísticos como simbólicos, proveen al lector de una riqueza de tópicos de áreas y regiones, siendo este volumen un referente importante en el estudio de la gráfica rupestre de este vasto continente.

This work shows new relevant research on the diverse manifestations of rock art in Latin America. Investigations focus on the use of territories as a habitat delimited by natural and symbolic boundaries, and as a means of obtaining resources, as well as their link to collective memory. The analysis, both stylistic and symbolic, provide the reader with a great thematic richness of areas and regions, making this volume an important reference in the study of rock art in this vast continent.
