Contra el “privilegio” de quedarse calladas: mujeres bisexualas en resistencia

Abstract

El presente trabajo, tiene el objetivo de presentar una reflexión de la forma en la que el reconocimiento y vivencia de la bisexualidad, atraviesa la identidad de mujeres jóvenes latinoamericanas y feministas, a través del análisis de videos de cuatro foros virtuales, en los que estas mujeres hablan de su vivencia como “bisexualas”, forma en la que ellas han decidido identificarse. Para lograr este objetivo, se analizó cualitativamente el discurso de dieciséis mujeres bisexuales, participantes de estos foros virtuales, los cuales tuvieron el objetivo de compartir experiencias y colaboraciones artísticas, en torno al tema de la propia bisexualidad. En los discursos de estas mujeres, fue posible identificar las formas en las que la bifobia les ha dificultado el identificarse como bisexuales; lo que para ellas ha significado el hablar de su orientación sexual con otras personas y las formas en las que han elegido resistir al rechazo y la invisibilización. Asimismo, las jóvenes hablaron de la necesidad de contar con espacios propios, desde los cuales contar sus historias, encontrar elementos en común y pronunciarse políticamente, para luchar en contra de la bifobia que todavía existe en la sociedad.

This paper aims to offer a reflection on the way in which the recognition and experience of bisexuality crosses the identity of young Latin American and feminist women, through the analysis of videos from four virtual forums, in which these women talk about their experience as “bisexualas” -the way in which they have decided to identify themselves- To achieve this, the discourse of sixteen bisexual women, participants in these virtual forums, was qualitatively analyzed. These forums had the objective of sharing experiences and artistic collaborations, around the theme of female bisexuality. In the speeches of these women, it was possible to identify the ways in which biphobia has made it difficult for them to construct an identity as bisexual women. It is also possible to wee what it has meant for them to talk about their sexual orientation with other people and the ways in which they have chosen to resist rejection and invisibility. Likewise, the young women spoke of the need to have their own spaces, from which to tell their stories, find elements in common and speak out politically, to fight against the biphobia that still exists in society.
