Historia de los deportes en el sertão brasileño: memoria, poder y olvido = History of sports in the brazilian sertão: memory, power and oblivion

Abstract

La historiografía brasileña del deporte ha crecido considerablemente en los últimos años. En este proceso, llama atención la ausencia casi completa de estudios sistemáticos sobre la historia del deporte en algunas regiones del país, que es conocido por ser de dimensiones continentales. Tenga en cuenta, particularmente, la ausencia de trabajos acerca de un territorio amplio y geográficamente impreciso llamado ¿sertão¿ o ¿hinterland¿. A partir del estudio de la historia del deporte en Goiás, este trabajo reflexiona sobre los efectos de esta brecha teórica e historiográfica.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Brazilian historiography of the sport has grown considerably in recent years. In this process, calls attention the almost complete absence of any systematic reflections about the sport history of some regions of the country, which is known to be of continental dimensions. Note, particularly, the absence of works regarding of a broad and geographically inaccurate territory called ¿sertão¿ or hinterland. From the study of the history of sport in Goiás, this paper reflects about the effects this theoretical and historiographical gap.
