Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to answer the fo-llowing question, what is art? Firstly, starting with commonality and ending with the proposal of contemporary artwork touching on gender perspective that is defined as a social cons-truction. This is presented to the Asociación Mamarrachxs Queer - AMQ (Outlandish Queer Association) as artists of legal character. Throughout this paper, necessary essential issues are proposed to understand the artistic work proposals such elements as the viewer, action art and social transformation, art, and associationism or archive. For this reason, di-fferent artists and role models will be show-cased that serve the main thesis. Finally, it is proposed that artistic works conducted by AMQ are centered around values of gender identity and LGTBIQ issues related to social intervention methodologies.
