Abstract
El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) del grado de Educación Social, trata de un diseño de investigación realizada en el barrio de Polígono Sur (Sevilla), que tiene como finalidad buscar las causas de por qué las mujeres gitanas tienen más dificultades en el acceso a la educación superior. Las mujeres gitanas se enfrentan a discriminaciones y marginaciones en la sociedad y en el sistema educativo debido a su origen étnico, cultural y además, por su sexo. A pesar de ello, hay mujeres gitanas que han logrado superarlo y obtener títulos superiores, por lo que sus historias pueden ser inspiradoras y ayudar a sensibilizar a la sociedad sobre las barreras a las que se enfrentan las mujeres gitanas en el acceso a la educación superior y a la igualdad de oportunidades. Por tanto, el objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar desde una perspectiva socioeducativa qué factores influyen en la mujer gitana para acceder a los estudios superiores. Para la consecución de dicho objetivo, se realiza una búsqueda pormenorizada sobre el colectivo y las posibles causas de las mujeres gitanas para acceder a estudios superiores, así como trabajar desde el ámbito socioeducativo sobre los estereotipos que tienen de las mujeres gitanas, potenciar la visión de la mujer gitana en los estudios superiores y determinar su realidad social. En conclusión, se busca dar visibilidad al colectivo y tener una imagen positiva y novedosa sobre las mujeres gitanas, obteniendo un mayor compromiso para abordar la discriminación además de promover la inclusión y la igualdad de oportunidades para las mujeres gitanas en la educación superior.
The present Final Degree Project (FDP) in Social Education is about an investigation design focused specifically on the Polígono Sur neighborhood in Seville with the aim to investigate the reasons why Romani women do not have access to higher education. Romani women face discrimination and marginalization in society and in the education system due to their ethnic and cultural background as well as their gender. However, some Romani women have managed to overcome these obstacles and obtain higher education degrees, and their stories can be inspiring and help raise awareness about the barriers that Romani women face in accessing higher education and equal opportunities. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to analyze, from a socio-educational perspective, the factors that influence Romani women in accessing higher education. To achieve this objective, a thorough search is conducted on the Romani community and the possible reasons why Romani women do not access higher education, as well as working from the socio-educational field to address the stereotypes that Romani women face, to promote the visibility of Romani women in higher education and determine their social reality. In conclusion, the goal is to raise awareness about the Romani community and to have a positive and innovative image of Romani women, in order to obtain a greater commitment to address discrimination as well as promote inclusion and equal opportunities for Romani women in higher education.
