Abstract
Las entradas episcopales durante la época moderna se han convertido a lo largo de los últimos años en objeto de análisis por parte de los investigadores, particularmente aquellos dedicados a las representaciones simbólicas del poder. Claro que no la totalidad de diócesis se ha beneficiado por igual de esta nueva corriente historiográfica. En algunas sigue sin saberse nada a propósito de tan singular ritual eclesiástico. Es el caso de Valencia, cuyo estudio para los siglos XVI y XVII se aborda por vez primera en este trabajo.
In recent years the episcopal entries during the early modern modern age have become an object of analysis by specialists, particularly those dedicated to symbolic representations of power. Of course, not all dioceses have benefited from this new historiographical trend. In some, nothing is still known about this singular ecclesiastical ritual. This is the case of Valencia, whose study addresses this work for the first time for the 16th and 17th centuries.
