Abstract
Se pretende realizar una breve síntesis y reflexión sobre los yacimientos con estructuras funerarias y restos óseos humanos en el casco urbano de la ciudad de Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz). El estudio en profundidad de las diferentes estructuras funerarias ayuda a entender y conocer a la sociedad a la que pertenecieron. Los rituales de enterramiento se asocian al propio desarrollo de los aspectos económicos y sociales de estos grupos. El estudio arqueológico unido al bioantropológico y a los diferentes materiales procedentes de estos contextos, son de un gran valor para acercarnos a estas poblaciones que ocuparon esta zona durante la prehistoria reciente.
It is intended to make a brief synthesis and reflection on the sites with funerary structures and human skeletal remains in the urban area of the city of Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz). The in-depth study of the different funerary structures helps to understand and know the society to which they belonged. The burial rituals are associated with the development of the economic and social aspects of these groups. The archaeological study together with the bioanthropological and the different materials from these contexts, are of great value to approach these populations that occupied this area during the recent prehistory.
