Abstract
Este trabajo de investigación aborda de modo comparado la conmemoración del centenario de la independencia de Bolivia el 6 de agosto de 1925 en tres escenarios: La Paz, Lima y Buenos Aires. Se propone comprobar el clima de confraternidad americanista que se produjo dentro de esta celebración tripartita y las motivaciones históricas, diplomáticas y políticas que lo hicieron posible. Se evalúa el papel jugado por el presidente de Bautista Saavedra en la organización de los actos protocolarios del centenario. Asimismo, se analiza el clima político, local e internacional, que contextualizó la celebración boliviana y se resalta sus particularidades en relación con otros festejos patrios previamente conmemorados en los países vecinos.
This research paper deals in a comparative way with the commemoration of the centennial of Bolivia's independence on August 6, 1925,in three scenarios: La Paz, Lima and Buenos Aires. It is proposed to verify the atmosphere of Americanist fraternity that took place within this tripartite celebration and the historical, diplomatic and political motivations that made it possible. The role played by President Bautista Saavedra in the organization of the protocolary acts of the centennial is evaluated. It also analyzes the local and international political climate that contextualized the Bolivian celebration and highlights its particularities in relation to other patriotic celebrations previously commemorated in neighboring countries.
