Platería, escenografía y culto mariano

Abstract

En este trabajo se profundiza en la importancia que el arte de la platería ha tenido en el desarrollo del culto a la Virgen María en la Iglesia Católica. Se analiza cómo las obras de platería han sido utilizadas no solo para el adorno de estas imágenes, sino también para definir su iconografía y acentuar una escenografía que potenciara su sacralidad.

This paper delves into the importance that the art of silverware has had in the development of the cult of the Virgin Mary in the Catholic Church. It analyzes how the works of silverware have been used not only for the adornment of these images, but also to define their iconography and accentuate a scenography that enhances their sacredness.
