Abstract
El santuario de Loreto (Italia) reunió durante la Edad Moderna, gracias a las donaciones de los peregrinos o de los devotos de la Virgen,uno de los tesoros más importantes del continente europeo. Muchos de aquellos benefactores fueron ilustres españoles. El análisis de los registros de donaciones conservados en Loreto permite ahora desvelar la identidad de aquellos españoles y la naturaleza de sus
presentes.
The sanctuary of Loreto (Italy) gathered during the Modern Age, thanks to donations from the pilgrims or devotees of the Virgin,one of the most important treasures of the European continent. Many of those illustrious benefactors were Spanish. The analysis of the records of donations kept in Loreto can now reveal the identity of those Spaniards and the nature of their presents.
