dc.description	The Virgin of the Pillar has always been adorned with jewels and opulent textiles. Amongst the oldest records of Santa Maria la Mayor are some of the treasures that were used to embellish the two primitive Marian images which were then venerated. It was not until the Modern Age that the Gothic image, which has been passed down to us today, was adorned with jewelry, the collection of which grew exponentially in response to the most celebrated miracles attributed to the Virgin. The adornment of the Virgin of the Pillar underwent a significant transformation following the renovation of the sanctuary by Ventura Rodríguez (1750-1765). This contribution meticulously reviews the primary adornments of the Virgin from 1255 to 2022, and presents an accurate transcription made by Ester Casorrán of the first inventory of the temple, recently located.
dc.description.abstract	La Virgen del Pilar siempre se ha aderezado con joyas y ricos textiles. Los inventarios más antiguos de Santa María la Mayor ya recogen algunas piezas del tesoro, que debían servir para adornar las dos primitivas imágenes marianas que entonces se veneraban. Será en el transcurso de la Edad Moderna cuando se comience a alhajar a la imagen gótica que hoy nos ha llegado, cuyo ajuar se multiplicará exponencialmente a raíz de los milagros más conocidos obrados por la Virgen. El alhajamiento de la Virgen del Pilar cambiará sustancialmente desde la remodelación del camarín por Ventura Rodríguez (1750-1765). Esta contribución repasa los principales aderezos de la Virgen, desde 1255 a 2022, y ofrece como apéndice documental la transcripción correcta realizada por Ester Casorrán del primer inventario del templo, recien-temente localizado.
