Abstract
This article explores certain relevant aspects of judicial ethics in the United Kingdom of Great Britain (hereinafter referred to as the United Kingdom, applying solely to England and Wales) and the United States of America (hereinafter referred to as the United States). Upon analysing the general ethical principles binding upon the judiciary in these two jurisdictions, a common substratum of ethical and moral values is identified, alongside a series of contrasts with respect to the standards of judicial conduct. These divergences reflect distinct legal traditions and institutional frameworks. The research methodology adopted combines rigorous documentary analysis and an extensive bibliographical review, with a prevailing emphasis on the comparative law approach as the principal framework of legal inquiry.
