Datasets del Modelo de estimación del número de Turistas en el municipio de Sevilla y sus Distritos (TurSevDis)

Abstract

Este dataset se refiere a las estimaciones realizadas con el modelo TurSevDis relativas al número de turistas (residentes y no residentes en España), pernoctaciones, turistas equivalentes, población flotante (entrante y saliente) y su desagregación en los Distritos del municipio de Sevilla para el periodo 2018-2023. Los datos base se han obtenido, fundamentalmente, de las estadísticas oficiales y experimentales publicadas por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) y las de otras instituciones dependientes de la Junta de Andalucía o el Ayuntamiento de Sevilla. Todas ellas debidamente citadas. Con carácter general, las variables “Tur” y “Per” se calculan a partir de las variables de viajeros/viajes/pernoctaciones publicadas en las diversas estadísticas del INE referidas a las tipologías de alojamiento (hotel, Apartamento, Vivienda con fines turísticos, y “no de mercado”). A estos datos se le restan las estimaciones de los viajeros por motivos considerados “no turísticos” (NT), usando parámetros y factores calculados con las estadísticas INE_ETR para el caso de turistas residentes en España, e INE_FRONTUR para el caso de los residentes en el Extranjero. El cálculo de los turistas a escala de distritos se realiza aplicando a los datos obtenidos siguiendo el procedimiento anterior, unos factores estimados con datos de 2023 a partir de los parámetros h, at, vft, nm y ex definidos, en general, como el número de alojamientos (plazas de pernoctación) -de cada tipo- disponibles en cada distrito “d” sobre el total del municipio (en porcentaje). La población flotante se refiere al número de personas-día que, de media anual, entran o salen a un determinado Distrito distinto al de su residencia. Para su cálculo se han usado los datos de la estadística experimental del INE sobre el “Estudio EM-1 de movilidad a partir de la telefonía móvil” (datos referidos a 2019) y un modelo auxiliar para estimar la distribución de la población a lo largo del año distinguiendo entre días laborables, festivos y vacaciones.

This dataset refers to the estimates made with the TurSevDis model regarding the number of tourists (residents and non-residents in Spain), overnight stays, equivalent tourists, floating population (inbound and outbound) and their disaggregation in the Districts of the municipality of Seville for the period 2018-2023. The base data have been obtained, fundamentally, from the official and experimental statistics published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and those of other institutions dependent on the Regional Government of Andalusia or the City Council of Seville. All of them are duly cited. In general, the “Tur” and “Per” variables are calculated from the variables of travelers/trips/overnight stays published in the various INE statistics referring to the types of accommodation (hotel, apartment, housing for tourist purposes, and “non-market”). These data are subtracted from the estimates of travelers for reasons considered “non-tourist” (NT), using parameters and factors calculated with the INE_ETR statistics in the case of tourists residing in Spain, and INE_FRONTUR in the case of those residing abroad. The calculation of tourists at district level is carried out by applying to the data obtained following the above procedure, factors estimated with data from 2023 based on the parameters h, at, vft, nm and ex defined, in general, as the number of accommodations (overnight stays) -of each type- available in each district “d” over the total of the municipality (as a percentage). The floating population refers to the number of person-days that, on an annual average, enter or leave a given District other than that of their residence. For its calculation, data from the INE experimental statistics on the “EM-1 study of mobility from mobile telephony” (data referring to 2019) and an auxiliary model have been used to estimate the distribution of the population throughout the year distinguishing between working days, holidays and vacations.
