This contribution examines the coastal dynamics of Dundrum Bay, with particular attention to wave processes, sediment transport and shoreline evolution. Using numerical modelling approaches, the authors explore the interaction between marine forcing and geomorphological configuration, highlighting the value of modelling techniques for understanding coastal change and supporting coastal management in dynamic environments. This contribution forms part of a volume that provides a comprehensive overview of the diverse coastal environments of Northern Ireland. The book highlights key geological features, the impact of human activity, and the research carried out at the University of Ulster. It describes distinctive coastal formations such as estuaries, rocky shore platforms and iconic sites including the Giant’s Causeway, emphasising the integration of scientific research, environmental management and education in coastal science.
