Abstract
Throughout the early modern period, the Mare de Déu del Roser confraternity from the town of Mataró was one of the most active confraternities in the parish life. This bustling activity is shown through the numerous amounts of receipts generated by the ruling board of this confraternity. Among them we find payments to sculptors, tailors, gilders, and silversmiths, and they offer information about the acquisition and maintenance of artistical objects destinated to the cult of the Mare de Déu del Roser. With this paper we want to know in which kind of artistical and liturgical objects did the confraternity of Mare de Déu del Roser invest it founds. On the other hand, we intend to fill the historical gap that exists inside the documentation that has survived from this confraternity, because the only accountability book that has arrived to our days, ends in 1717.
