Abstract
In this paper we present an analysis of a hydraulic structure that was documented during an excavation carried out at Cava St. 29, Ecija (Sevilla). The structure has been identified as a fountain or pond that decorated the peristyle of an ornate domus located in the southern sector of the colony. We also proposed a new hypothesis of the road network for this area, which is articulated in a manner consistent with domestic remains analysed. Keywords: Colonia Augusta Firma Astigi, domestic architecture, Ecija (Sevilla), peristyle, pond, road network, Roman ceramics, urbanism, viridarium.
