Abstract
Este estudio analiza la importancia de la generación de filólogos que accedieron a la docencia universitaria a principios de la década de 1980 en la historia reciente de la literatura española. Figuras como José Carlos Mainer, Francisco Rico, Darío Villanueva y Jorge Urrutia, entre muchos otros, modernizaron y actualizaron los estudios literarios en las universidades españolas mediante obras críticas que constituyen referencias esenciales en la literatura académica.
This study examines the significance of the generation of philologists who took up their professorships in the early 1980s in the recent history of Spanish literature. Figures such as José Carlos Mainer, Francisco Rico, Darío Villanueva, and Jorge Urrutia, among many others, modernized and updated literary studies at Spanish universities through critical works that are essential references in scholarly literature.
