El patrimonio documental cubano en la era de las humanidades digitales. Experiencias en línea y perspectivas desde Cuba

Abstract

El desarrollo de nuevas tendencias tecnológicas e informáticas ha propiciado en las últimas décadas la aparición dentro de las ciencias sociales y las humanidades, de campos emergentes que exploran la confluencia de las nuevas tecnologías con las disciplinas humanísticas. Es el caso de las humanidades digitales, que han permitido expandir las posibilidades de los investigadores y la preservación del patrimonio documental de las naciones. Con respec- to a Cuba, existen interesantes proyectos de digitalización que garantizan el acceso a informaciones de carácter patrimonial, determinantes para la preservación del pasado y la investigación de científicos sociales de todo el planeta, interesados en la cultura, la historia y las raíces del pueblo cubano. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar algunos exponentes de este tipo de experiencia en la preservación del patrimonio documental cubano.

The development of new technological and computer trends has led in recent decades to the emergence within the social sciences and humanities, of emerging fields that explore the confluence of new technologies with humanistic disciplines. This is the case of the digital humanities, which have made it possible to expand the possibilities of researchers and the preservation of the documentary heritage of nations. With regard to Cuba, there are interesting digitization projects that guarantee access to information of a patrimonial nature, decisive for the preservation of the past and the research of social scientists from all over the planet, interested in the culture, history and roots of the Cuban people. The objective of this research is to analyze some exponents of this type of experience in the preservation of Cuban documentary heritage.
