Metodología de investigación con tests psicológicos en criminología

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta un somero recorrido por los principales aspectos a tener en cuenta frente a la investigación con tests, dada la utilidad que tiene esta tecnología, en el ámbito de la criminología. El trabajo se enfoca desde el punto de vista del desarrollo de tests abordando la fase de diseño y pilotaje del instrumento de medida. También se abordan recomendaciones sobre el procesamiento estadístico de los datos prestando atención a los conceptos de fiabilidad y validez. Por último, se presenta una reflexión sobre el uso ético y responsable de la información recogida con tests. Para optimizar la utilidad práctica de este trabajo, presentamos un ejemplo de construcción de test para medir el riesgo de agresión a la pareja.This work presents a brief overview of the most important aspect to keep in mind when researching with tests in the criminology field of expertise. Tests are useful tools into this area of knowledge and this paper is aimed to provide some general guidelines. The paper is organized from the perspective of tests development perspective. Recommendations are provided from the statistical analysis point of view and addressing the psychometrics concepts of reliability and validity. Finally, a discussion on ethical commitment and social responsibility is also introduced to stress the relevance of these aspects when using psychological tests. To optimize the practical utility of this work, it is presented a construction test example to assess the partner aggression risk.
