Abstract
La formación basada en valores es un aspecto primordial en la vida de todo ser humano y los docentes operan como un aspecto clave para lograr ese resultado influyendo mediante las palabras y acciones en el salón de clases. La investigación fue desarrollada con una metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, donde con la aplicación de un instrumento de 19 items a 431 alumnos pertenecientes a una universidad pública, se buscó conocer su opinión sobre la práctica de los valores en sus docentes. De acuerdo con los datos obtenidos, a pesar de ser considerados sujetos de inspiración en sus alumnos impulsándolos a ser mejores profesionistas, los profesores, con cierta frecuencia son susceptibles de quebrantar las normas y valores universitarios.
Formation based on values is a primordial aspect in the life of every human being. When these values begin to fade, due to the arrival of a modernity whose center is individual, the equilibrium of the society is affected. Hence, teachers operate as the key players for encouraging them through words and actions in the classroom: always reinforcing that the values are a guide to for orienting the life of human beings.This research was developed with a quantitative focused methodology. It sought the opinion of 431 Mexican public university students through a 19 items questionnaire about the practice of values of their professors. According to the data obtained, the students assured to not have been enrolled in a subject related to values at the university. Regarding teachers, despite being considered inspirational subjects that foster students to be better professionals, with certain frequency they are susceptible to break university norms and values.
