Etnosexualidad e identidades de género transbinarias: apuntes etnográficos para la reflexión

Abstract

Este texto aborda, desde la perspectiva de la etnosexualidad, el análisis de las narraciones y relatos de las personas trans en el contexto de una sociedad que contempla la existencia de géneros múltiples: los zapotecas del Istmo de Tehuantepec, en México, con el fin de identificar las características principales de esta sociedad. Los hallazgos encontrados subrayan la flexibilidad y la plasticidad de estas categorías transbinarias étnicas que trascienden los modelos binarios y que posibilitan la existencia de espacios sociales institucionalizados para las identidades de género no binarias propios y socialmente reconocidos.This paperaddresses, from the perspective of ethnosexuality, the analysis of the narratives and stories of trans people in the context of a society that contemplates the existence of multiple genders: the Zapotecs of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, in Mexico, in order to identify the main characteristics of this society. The findings found underscore the flexibility and plasticity of these ethnic transbinary categories that transcend binary models and that enable the existence of institutionalized social spaces for their own and socially recognized non-binary gender identities.
