Abstract

Ortega es el filósofo más señero del liberalismo español y la Falange el partido más simbólico de la extrema derecha española. Esta afirmación, que representa la versión oficial de nuestra historia, deja en el limbo una anomalía irresuelta, y es la de cómo y por qué pudieron los falangistas, un movimiento de raíz fascista, inspirarse en Ortega. Liberales y falangistas temían que la clase obrera sucumbiera ante los encantos del llamado socialismo real. Con objeto de evitarlo Ortega propuso un modelo socioeconómico, el capitalismo de Estado, que deslumbró a los falangistas. Pero para atraerse a la clase obrera era preciso mimetizar el discurso socialista.
