Abstract

The region of the Condado de Huelva, in the northern area of the Doñana Natural Park, will be characterized for its essential space that included Sevillian influences in all the western territory of the great Andalusian city. It¿s union to the cultural, political and social Sevillian trends would have shaped an artistic outlook that has something in common: the Baroque. The Baroque, on the other hand, would have shaped, in a continuous way, the aesthetic of the towns that form this region, as well as its festivities and rituals from over the last centuries. As a result, it can be found a dialogue between the past and the present, which must have made easier the survival of the Baroque in this region, eminently rural and agricultural.
