Abstract
The article discusses three stamps on black gloss pottery that appeared during the archaeological excavations conducted by the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Seville), in the so-called Teatro Greco of Hadrian’s Villa (Tivoli, Rome). The presence of black gloss pottery in the villa confirms that the area was inhabited during the Republican period, at least from the third century B.C. Parallels to the stamps found in Teatro Greco have appeared in other sites, placing the Republican villa within the distribution and consumption networks of the time.
