Abstract
En este trabajo, dedicado a la protección y seguridad frente a las inundaciones, se presenta el marco común, las directrices y los resultados de cuatro casos de estudio reales que sirvieron de base para la elaboración de los materiales de capacitación desarrollados para las sesiones formativas del proyecto europeo Flood-CBA#2, Integrating Cost-Benefit analysis in the development of standards for flood protection and safety (Ref. ECHO/ SUB/2015/PREV/32).
El objetivo de este proyecto europeo es integrar el análisis coste-beneficio en el proceso de toma de decisiones para seleccionar los estándares de protección apropiados en áreas propensas a inundaciones, y para ello se basa en redes de actores clave en la toma de decisiones (stakeholders) y usuarios finales en los cuatro países europeos en los que se desarrollan sus acciones: España, Grecia, Portugal y Reino Unido.

This volume, dedicated to flood protection and safety, presents a common framework, guidelines and the results of four study cases that served as the basis for the training mate- rials developed for the European project Flood-CBA#2, Integrating Cost-Benefit analysis in the development of standards for flood protection and safety (Ref. ECHO/SUB/2015/PREV/32).
The objective of this European project is to integrate the cost-benefit analysis in the decision-making process to select the appropriate protection standards in flood-prone areas, based on networks of key stakeholders (decision-makers and end users), in the four European participating countries: Spain, Greece, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
