Abstract
Al menos el 80% de las empresas dedicadas a la fabricación de calzado no innovan en Colombia, lo que trae como consecuencias la salida del mercado de estas, el objetivo de la investigación es estimar los factores determinantes de esta. Se analizaron dos periodos de tiempo, (2017-2018) y (2019-2020). Para lo anterior se usó un modelo Logit Ordenado que categoriza el desempeño innovador en empresas no innovadoras e innovadoras. Se tomó una base con 238 empresas para el periodo 1 y 198 para el periodo 2 y se utilizaron tres categorías de determinantes, el esfuerzo innovador, la escolaridad y las redes de apoyo que se relacionan positivamente con la innovación
At least 80 % of the companies dedicated to footwear manufacturing do not innovate in Colombia, which results in their exit from the market. The objective of the research is to estimate the determining factors of this. Two time periods were analyzed, (2017-2018) and (2019-2020). For the above, an Ordered Logit model was used that categorizes innovative performance in non-innovative and innovative companies. A base was taken with 238 companies for period 1 and 198 for period 2 and three categories of determinants were used, innovative effort, schooling and support networks that are positively related to innovation.
