Abstract
Este artículo se interesa por las perspectivas de protección de la arquitectura
residencial del centro histórico Cajamarca, ciudad intermedia peruana
recientemente muy dinámica económicamente. La conservación de la arquitectura
doméstica en general es sumamente complicada por su propia
naturaleza, y aunque en este caso varios ejemplares han sido declarados de
valor patrimonial nacional, no se les percibe como tan importantes como la
más grandilocuente arquitectura religiosa, y por tanto han sido escasamente
estudiados.
This article deals with the prospects for protection of residential architecture in the historic center of Cajamarca, a peruvian intermediate city recently very dynamic in its economy. The conservation of domestic architecture in general is complicated by its nature, and although in this case several houses have been declared of national heritage value, they are not perceived as equally important as the more grandiloquent religious architecture, and have therefore been scarcely studied.
